A small-group photography weekender in Paris, led by Alan Schaller, in partnership with Creative Escapes.

PARIS PHOTOGRAPHY WEEKENDER WITH ALAN SCHALLER · 6–8 MARCH 2026 · £1,200 PER PERSON

A different kind of photography weekender.
This isn’t a bootcamp. And it’s not about being judged. It’s about spending a weekend alongside someone who knows how to see, and quietly learning by watching how they move, pause and shoot.

You don't need to perform. You don't need to explain your work. You just need to show up.

Behind the Scenes

What to expect.

This is a calm, carefully designed photography weekender, not a course.

There’s structure so you feel supported, but plenty of space to work quietly and find your own rhythm.

Nothing is rushed, and nothing is forced.

This weekender is for anyone who wants to see differently.

You might be new to street photography, or you might already spend hours on the street with a camera. What matters isn’t experience level, but curiosity.

If you’re interested in how world-class street photography is made, want an inside view of how Alan sees and works, and enjoy sharing the experience with like-minded people, you’ll feel at home here.

It’s serious about photography. But it’s also relaxed, social, and fun.

We work in a group of 20, moving through Paris at an unhurried pace.

Each day includes a mix of sessions led by Alan and sessions guided by the Creative Escapes team.

In Alan’s sessions, there’s proper time to watch how he works, ask questions, and follow along.

The other sessions are led by Creative Escapes tutors, giving you space to practise, experiment, and build confidence without pressure.

Everything is designed to feel supportive and relaxed. You can engage as much or as little as you like, and there’s no expectation to perform.

You’ll come away with stronger photographs and a clearer sense of why they work.

More importantly, you’ll feel calmer and more confident about how to approach shooting on your own.

Many people say this is what finally makes things click.

itinerary

Itinerary.

Friday afternoon is about arriving, settling in, and easing into the way of working. We start together after lunch with a relaxed first session led by Alan. There’s a chance to walk, observe, talk through approach, and do a simple kit check so everyone feels comfortable. Nothing heavy. Nothing technical. Just beginning to slow down and tune in.

Saturday is the main working day. The day is split between sessions led by Alan and sessions guided by the Creative Escapes team. You’ll spend time watching how Alan works on the street, then have space to practise, experiment, and ask questions in a supportive setting. This is where things start to click. How scenes form. Where to wait. What to ignore.

Sunday is about bringing things together. With a mix of Alan-led and CE-led sessions, the focus shifts to trusting your judgement and working more calmly on your own. There’s time to reflect, refine, and enjoy shooting without pressure. We finish together late afternoon, leaving you with a clearer sense of how to keep working once you’re home.
