CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: As we gradually return to running trips, the safety and wellbeing of our travellers, leaders, crew, staff and suppliers will remain our priority and our return to operations will be done in a safe and responsible way. We have reviewed all our health and safety policies and are implementing new minimum standards that emphasize increased hygiene and sanitation. These are in line with recommendations from the World Health Organization and following the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Safe Travel protocols for tour operators. Before we resume trips in any destination, our itineraries will undergo a comprehensive risk assessment and audit, while leaders and suppliers will complete COVID-19 health and safety training.

You will benefit from small group sizes and expert tuition, all in easy-to-understand language. Accommodation is hand-selected from boutique gems – for those with busy lives, we think of everything (so you don’t have to).

HOW IT WORKS

How about shooting a living goddess in ancient Kathmandu, kicking back exploring the Keralan backwaters in your own luxury houseboat?

Or photographing big cats, elephants and crocodiles from the back of a private safari jeep in Sri Lanka?

Our experiential itineraries are between 5 and 11 days, starting with a relaxed check-in at your hotel and your first session on understanding your camera, pitched perfectly to your level. The following days will include guided trips and activities with tuition on skills such as composition, exposure, documentary images and travel editorial.

HOW IT WORKS

We only hire photographers at the top of their game, and our  friendly tutors will let you in on some of the tricks used by professional and commercial photographers, to ensure you really get the best shots. As the name suggests, we’ll give you all the creative skills you need to shoot pictures that wow.

After all of our creative efforts, we steer clear of the tourist packs and take you behind the scenes, local style, to our handpicked selection of the best bars and restaurants, to make your experience much richer – and take some time to review all of our best pictures with a glass of something cold.

Thank you Jon for an amazing Moroccan adventure! I learnt so much and had such an incredible time!
Creative Escapes is a fantastic company, the whole experience was excellent - from initial queries about the trip, throughout the booking
… More process, and of course - the 10 days away. Great balance of photography, learning, and having fun!

The holiday to Kerala was fantastic and the one to one tuition opened up a whole new style of photography for me. Jon gave advice when needed and instilled confidence in everyone to experiment and push their level of photography further. … More Added to that a beautiful location, great food and luxurious accomodation meant the holiday was an unforgettable experience. Will definitely book another photography holiday with them.

Cuba has always been on the top of my list of places to go so when the opportunity came to finally go, I wanted to find the right people to introduce me to what is an amazing place. Creative Escapes are the right people to give you the … More right introductions. Matt or tutor was not just a great teacher, patient, encouraging while challenging us but he was also knowledgable in the art of navigating Cuba and all it's charms and quirks. Creative Escapes is a true small group trip with others that are there to "create" so your love of photography is shared and enjoyed by everyone. The best souvenirs to take home? Some amazing photos of an amazing place that you created youself.

"The best teachers are those who show you where to look but don't tell you what to see" ( AK Trenfor) sums up the CE experience. My trip to Cuba (November 2017) with CE was well thought out, included experiences that would … More not have been possible had I organised the trip myself and was a great 10 day experience with 7 other like minded people and a brilliant tutor. As a result I not only had one of my best travel experiences ever but I also produced some of my best photographs to date . My husband has been inspired to join me on their USA trip in May 2018. I can't wait!

I've done both photography holidays and day courses with these guys and I'm consistently blown away by how much I learn and come away with. Their style of teaching is extremely effective and the focus is on helping each person … More to identify and develop their own personal style. The holidays are extremely well researched and standards are high across the board. I'm booked on another trip soon and can't wait!

I went to Cambodia with Creative Escapes this year, and it was a fantastic experience. The venues for each day's shoot are varied and well chosen, and the instruction is great, tailored for the people on the course. The restaurants … More are good too, with a variety of styles and cuisines, as is the hotel. There's a wonderful atmosphere on the course, working hard on the assignments, reviewing each other's work, and relaxing in the evenings.
I then attended one of the weekend workshops in London, for people who've been on one of the holidays, and that was up to the same standard too.
